The Roanoke Valley Health Services (RVHS) Clinic/Nurse- RN is part of the outpatient clinics of the hospital. RN will float to one of four clinics on a weekly base.  Adaptability to different clinic work day schedule is a must.


 Job Summary:RN Clinic Nurse/float to the four clinics

 Job Responsibilities

  • RN will be a competent care giver in four diverse week day clinics

  • RN will maintain a consistent collaborative focus where individual and team goals are consistent with the goals of Halifax Regional Medical Center.  

  • RN will maintain timely oral and written communication with regards to clinical documentation for accrediting standards.

  • RN will focus on quality objectives, disease specific improvement goals, and patient's individual adherence to therapy.  

  • RN can perform clinical functions including disease-oriented assessment and monitoring, medication adjustment, health education and self-care instructions.

Job Qualifications/RN/Clinic Nurse 

  • Graduate of approved School of Nursing and holds a current license to practice in the state of North Carolina or Compact State.

  • Accommodate changing work day start and ending times

  • Office experience preferred, but not required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Sound decision making and organizational skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multifaceted healthcare team

  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with all levels of clinic staff

  • Strong aptitude for computer

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
